If your child is born at a participating hospital, a GenV team member will visit you shortly after birth. We will review this information statement with you. If you would like to participate in GenV, you will then need to sign a consent form. You will be provided with a copy of the information statement if you join us. It is also available below for anyone interested in GenV and wanting more information: Find out more Instructions to collect biosamples When you join GenV you might be asked to take a saliva swab from inside the cheek for you and your baby. You might also be asked to take a nappy swab (stool sample) from your baby. If you choose to take a swab, you will be given a collection kit.
